TABITHA RAE

CONTEND THE STRANGER

A thought while driving -

"To see the worth in someone, before they show you themselves is a beautiful exchange."

Its an incredible thought to know we haven't yet reached our full potential. The person over there walking their dog or rushing out of that coffee shop. How interesting to think they’re still accomplishing that dream they hold quietly within.

Its easy to forget people are contending for something once the graduation caps have succumbed to gravity. There is no longer blatant yearly markings to display the goal.

But that stranger over there; if we choose to cheer them on, if we choose to encourage, how much more fearlessly winsome would the world become? To see the worth in someone, before they show you themselves is a beautiful exchange. It’s so easy to praise the autograph or cheer at the finish line. These people who have proved their potential (they already made it to the race).

Why don't we cheer the others? Stand along side those who haven't yet found their mastery. Its attractive knowing people are fighting for a better future. I have not yet reached the fullness of my life. You have not yet reached the fullness of yours. As much as we hopefully think about our promised potential, and visions for the future— let's chose to see the person who is walking their dog for their future dreams. How many more things would be discovered! curated, invented, dared, created. How many more things would be dreamed thereafter.
